Re: Mongoose Mountain Bikes

I really love my XR-100 Mongoose, but I've had some problems with it.

In my opinion, your mountain bikes need improving. The derailleur for some mysterious reason keeps getting tangled up in the rim and its not this way with just the XR-100 model. My friend has a brand new Mongoose (a mountain bike but not a XR-100). His derailleur got tangled up in his rim just like my bike. It has happened to my bike twice. Another woman asked me if I could find a derailleur for her Mongoose because I have a large bike collection in my backyard, but I didn't have one for a Mongoose. I replaced my derailleur once and then just recently it got tangled up in the rim again.

Well, its apparent that your mountain bikes all need some improvement in the derailleur area. What I think would really help is if you moved the rim slightly to the side away from the chain and the derailleur. This would prevent the bike's derailleur from getting caught in the rim and getting messed up.

Twenty bucks is a lot to pay to get a bike repaired.

The only extreme problem we have with Mongoose bikes is the derailleur problem. I hope you'll take this into consideration when improving on your bikes.
