Gail Lightfoot for US Senator from California!

I recently emailed all the Libertarian candidates on my primary election ballot to ask how they stood on the issue of child protective services. Gail was the only one to send a personal reply so far and she tells me she's very aware of the problem and feels the same way I do - that CPS manages to harm more than help. So though I haven't heard from her competitor, Judge James Gray, I'm inclined to give Gail my vote.

Gail Lightfoot also supports education reform and homeschooling and that's the main issue on her website. She's endorsed by John Taylor Gatto and was one of the first signers of the Proclamation for the Separation of School and State. (I've signed too.) My kind of candidate.

Judge Gray's main platform is justice reform for drug abusers. He's written a book on that topic and is likely to get lots of votes. But since I'm a mom and don't use drugs, I identify more with Gail's issues.
