Well here's a sad lesson Aaron learned today.

About six months ago he made a bike deal with David, a man who was visiting our neighbor. David never met his side of the bargain which was to supply Aaron with some bikes and bike parts. Since then Aaron's made a number of trips to David's house in an attempt to collect. David said the things he was going to give Aaron were stolen from him. He was broke and in no position to pay money.

Just this last week I drove Aaron to David's trailer to discuss the matter and they made some kind of deal that was supposed to be taken care of soon.

Tonight my husband came in, shocked, to show me the newspaper. The front page top article was about David being murdered last night during a domestic disturbance. His girlfriend and another neighbor (who was up on our hill just a few days ago) were both arrested on murder charges.

We all expect to hear that alcohol was involved. This is the first time anyone Aaron knew died. He seems to be taking it well.
